Significant professional experience in an industrial environment.

Good knowledge of industrial plants and ideally of CCGTs.

English required.

Able to move often (very frequent travel between Houston and the Colorado Bend, La Porte and Wolf Hollow sites).


Activities

During the TSA period :
• Actively participate in the integration of assets into the various workstreams
• Ensure business continuity
• Act as interface between head office entities (France) and sites
• Coordinate, in liaison with local and head office TTE teams, the various interventions on the sites.
• Ensure that we take over all legal obligations
Manage plant O&M contracts (as such, he/she is the main contact for site managers and O&M contract managers)
Participate in plant budget reviews and monitor asset OPEX and CAPEX
Interface and coordinate with the Energy Management team (PIM US and TGP-NA)
Participate in contract discussions for major contracts
Participate in decarbonization, optimization and site development projects
Participate in due diligence and integration plans for new assets
Participate in technical analyses
On methods :
• Harmonize operating practices, processes, rules and reporting for the various assets of the Operations division.
• Lead performance management
On performance:
• Monitor the technical performance of assets and develop relevant indicators
• Define/propose performance indicators, consolidate and draw up reports
• Monitor and analyze performance indicators and suggest areas for improvement if necessary
• Participate in the deployment and development of digital tools enabling remote expertise

Context & Environment

Within the GRP branch, the Flexible Power Generation (FPG) entity comprises 10 power plants (8 CCGTs, 1 OCGT and 1 mixed plant) located in France, Spain, Belgium and Texas (USA), and has strong growth ambitions between now and 2030. These plants meet the need for power supply flexibility associated with the development of intermittent renewable energies.

The 3 CCGTs & OCGTs of Colorado Bend, La Porte and Wolf Hollow joined the Company in February 2024 (post M&A), so this is a new position.

The Operations manager will work with the O&M provider's managers and operations engineers at each site to ensure that our operational and regulatory/legal obligations are met in line with the contract in place. He/she encourages exchange of ideas on all aspects, feedback practices and good communication between all those involved. He/she acts as a link between the Company's various entities at IP US, IP BU and FPG levels. He will be responsible for enforcing the current O&M contract.


Additional Information

The position reports to the head of Flexible Power US.
The scope of the position covers the 3 power plants of Colorado Bend, La Porte, Wolf Hollow and IPBU US headquarters activities. This job requires frequent travel to each of the 3 plants located near Houston (Colorado Bend and La Porte) and near Dallas (Wolf Hollow). You will work in close collaboration with the directors and operations managers of each power plant and with the Operations teams at Integrated Power's Flexible Power Generation headquarters.
The combined capacity of the gas-fired power plants (CCGT and OGC) is 1.5GW. They comprise the following main components: gas turbine, steam turbine and alternator. Steam is cooled by cooling towers.
Plant operation & HSE coordination are handled by the O&M contractor.
Total annual budget per plant: ~ 10m USD
On-site personnel per plant: ~ 25.
