Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in human resources (training, recruitment or other)
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Forms, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, in French and English (employees outside Quebec)
  • Ability to analyze and manage data and reports
  • Autonomy, initiative, ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, good management of priorities and pressure
  • Good interpersonal skills, open-mindedness and adaptability, emotional intelligence, persuasiveness

Activities

Main responsibilities

Recruitment and talent development
  • Define recruitment needs with managers
  • Participate in drawing up job descriptions and keep them up to date
  • Publish advertisements and/or mandate recruitment agencies
  • Conduct recruitment interviews and select candidates in coordination with managers
  • Take up references and make job offers
  • Coordinate and carry out the induction and orientation of new recruits with the HR and Payroll Technician
  • Post-hire employee follow-up
  • Support employee development in coordination with line managers
  • Conduct employee career reviews
Training
  • Support managers in defining training plans for their team members
  • Assist the HR Director in defining and monitoring the subsidiary's annual training plan.
  • Manage the organization of local training courses
  • Maintain the training expenditure register and prepare the annual report to the authorities
  • Ensure the recording of training history in the internal HRIS
Communication and HR project management
  • Coordinate internal communications with HRD
  • Assist the HR Department in running HR campaigns (individual annual interviews, internal mobility, capital increase, commitment survey, headcount, etc.) and provide support to employees and managers in this area.
  • Assist the HR Department in the creation and updating of HR dashboards as required.
  • Participate in all related HR projects (e.g. school relations).

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Advisor for our plant in LaSalle, Montreal (QC). Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the HR Advisor's responsibilities will include recruitment, training, internal communication and HR project management for our subsidiary of around 90 employees.
