Candidate Profile

  • Account management of existing direct clients and channel partners for Special Fluids Business segment generating $250 Million in revenues 
  • Manage channel partner activities that pertain to their activity with TotalEnergies Special Fluids. 
  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies 
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts and channel partners 
  • Uncovering prospective account and markets using numerous electronic tools, attending trade shows, cold calling and listening to customer needs. 
  • Helping to deliver new tonnage each year in line with budgets and with the long-term plan
  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Minimum of 5 years in an account management / sales role 
  • Must demonstrate capability to work in a self-directed environment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and outgoing personality needed to work smoothly between multiple business functions 
  • Must be comfortable competing and excelling in a competitive, fast-paced environment

Activities

Planning: . 
  • Develop profitable sales strategies, prepare sales forecasts & budgets, monitor sales & profitability, and take corrective action to ensure targets are met.
  • Understand technical & legislative information relevant to market segments, liaise with technical & commercial depts. 
Selling: 
  • Identify targeted client prospects and establish ongoing business relationships.
  • Ensure strong customer relationship for the long term and negotiate prices/contracts to the satisfaction of customer and business objectives.
  • Build a commercial & technical understanding of customer's business and market segments within which they operate. 
  • Develop specific markets by identifying the leading companies within the market. 
  • Work closely with sales support team, technical and HSEQ to make sure customer needs are met 
  • Build awareness of market information — customers, products, and competitors; analyze and understand market trends. 
  • Discover new application areas for existing products and build comprehensive overview of competition. 
  • Promote pricing stewardship throughout the market 
Marketing: 
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency 
  • Contract, manage and attend trade shows for dealing with applicable markets 
  • Assemble KPI and provide business reviews for applicable markets Reporting: 
  • Competitive pricing adjustment; New market developments; Change in customer organization; Forecasts; Rail Car Requirements; New Applications and New Regulations
