Experience Required
  • Education: Msc / Bsc Engineering diploma or equivalent 

  • Professional experience: Minimum 5 years in the oil & gas industry and 3 as Subsea Engineer or related activities (Offshore experience is recommended). Experience can be compensated by assessed growing potential. 

  • Technical skills: Safety of persons, environment protection, Oil & Gas production & process, plant and well start-up, Reporting, Projects & modification engineering, Logistics & contract management 

  • Behaviour Skills: Dynamism, openness, rigour, ability to influence positively, team spirit, multiculturalism, result orientated 

  • Language skills: English (Bright 3 minimum) and fluent Portuguese highly recommended 


Accountabilities

As part of teamwork: 

  • Local Content: Promote local suppliers whenever available and cost effective 

  • H3SE: Assist in SIMOPS dossier compilation 

  • Production: Optimise Subsea interventions to minimise impact on production 

  • Work Program: Contribute to the work programs development 

  • Interface: Coordinate with internal (LSO, NP&I,  ..) and external entities to ensure continuity of field operations activities 

  • Cost: Optimize LOF inventories & consumables  

  • Human Resources: Provide coaching and training to offshore team. 

Atividades

HSE:  

  • Implement and reinforce the HSE policy of the affiliate on operated assets  

  • Ensure safety and environmental protection regulations and instructions are respected throughout the chemicals chain  

  • Ensure DGS and audits cards issued with actions related subsea assets are treated with adequate priority  

  • Organize SQM with Contractor under his jurisdiction (LOF contracts, inspections suppliers), validate and issue MOM & action plan 

  • The employee shall perform his/her activities in compliance with the HSE Management System, aligned with One Maestro Principles and oriented to safeguard the integrity of people, the environment and Company’s assets and reputation. 

Production / Underwater & Topsides systems / LOF: 

  • Ensure to respect the company referential and local laws in terms of maintenance & inspection requirements for all the subsea assets and special attention shall be made on all the SECE valves testing. 

  • Coordinate, plan and ensure timely execution of all subsea interventions to minimize impact production and optimizing logistics resources. 

  • Raise any required NCR and derogation linked to subsea assests, ensure to have a detailed action plan with realistic due date and follow the implementations of the mitigations & corrective actions. Close coordination with HQ is required. 

  • Manage the FOPS portion of Life Of Field Contract and ensure proper follow up and optimisation of the inventory (SCM, Chokes, etc) 

  • Follow up the spare parts and equipment traceability from PO placement, reception, and test in the base until timely arrival on site 

  • Contribute to Production Performance Group efficiency 

  • Liaise, assist, and provides technical support to the Subsea Engineer onboard FPSO 

  • Coordinate Methods activities on Subsea, draft and update operational procedures, along with site. 

  • Innovate in new technologies  to increase safety and reduce costs for subsea operations. 

Repairs / Inspection 

  • Coordinates FSIV plan for both planned and adhoc underwater interventions 

  • Provide technical expertise (assisted by HQ and LOF Contractor as required) for all subsea related interventions 

  • Propose solutions and promote / coordinate implementation for any operational upset impacting safety and/or production 

  • Manage the Subsea inspection plan (splash zones and underwater – focus on flexible) 

  • Liaise with Maintenance Specialist for the implementation of HPU maintenance plan (Preventive & Curative) 

Engineering / New projects 

  • Contribute to engineering studies and associated technical reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, PTR, etc) related to subsea assets 

  • Coordinate with Projects and/or Maintenance the commissioning of new subsea related facilities and ensure proper handover (incl. Documentation update). Ensure handover procedure is kept up to date. 

  • Along with Flow assurance, Well Perf and Production Support, participate to the development of procedure for wells operations including start up or closure.  

  • Develop the ‘’Underwater Flexibles management Plan” and liaise with construction to ensure efficient and effective replacement 

Facilities Integrity: 

  • Contribute to the annual work program (production provision, Shut-downs, Testing, etc) 

  • Ensure proper follow up of the subsea system integrity, request any required derogation on DGS or integrity threats 

  • As the FOPS Well Integrity Lead Engineer (WILE), contribute to the Asset Integrity review meeting / board. 

Budget: 

  • Contribute to the preparation of operations budgets (IB and PDC’s) and validate OPEX figures pertaining to Subsea activities 

  • Optimise spare part inventory through LOF contract and ensure LOF contractor has a Fit-for Purpose team as to minimise OPEX. 

  • Optimise FSIV utilisation plan (work coordination) as to minimise OPEX 

Management System & Interfaces: 

  • Contribute to the sustainability of the Field Operation Management System (FOMS) in the affiliate. 

  • Ensure that the engineering, as builts, MEMOs pertaining to subsea systems are properly stored as per FOPS IT organisation. 

  • Ensure that all PMs and CMs have a dedicated report and are stored accordingly. 

  • Contribute to the elaboration of the annual field operation objectives in terms of HSE, Integrity, production and budget 

  • Develop and Validate the strategy for subsea Testing, repair and inspection strategy in coordination with Integrity and Well Perf 

  • Contribute to the elaboration of Operated assets LTP (Subsea costs), annual budget, PDC’s, mid-term integrated planning 

  • Promote the REX from and to HQ / Site 

Human Resources: 

  • Contribute to the improvement of skills and know-how for site personnel (Subsea activities) 

  • Provide (prepare and deliver) training and coaching on Subsea related activities as and when required
